WHAT IS KAMBO

Kambo is another name for the Giant Leaf Frog or Phyllomedusa Bicolor (Latin name), which lives on trees in the Amazon jungle. Kambo (or Sapo) is also the name of the medicine contained in its secretion. This medicine is used by the men, women, and children of the local tribes and is an integral part of their lives and culture.

Kambo is collected in the Amazon jungle by tribe members and locals who go out at night and mimic the frogs' sounds to attract them.

 

Once a specimen is found, its limbs are gently stretched and tied to four wooden sticks planted in the ground.

 

The frog is then lightly stimulated in order to release its healing secretion, which is scraped from its skin and transferred onto a wooden spatula to dry.

At the end of this process, the frogs are released with the utmost gratitude.

Kambo is NOT safe for everyone!

​​

Kambo is NOT for you if:​​

​

  • You have a serious heart condition or have had a heart operation

  • You have had a stroke or a brain haemorrhage

  • You have an aneurysm or blood clots

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding 

  • You are taking immunosuppressants after organ transplantation

  • You are taking antibiotics (safe and highly recommended afterwards)

  • You are undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy (safe after 4 weeks)

  • You have severe epilepsy

  • You have severe blood pressure issues

  • You have a device/implant in your brain

  • You are recovering from a major surgical procedure

  • You have sat with Bufo (5-MeO-DMT) in the last 6 weeks

  • You have Addison's disease

  • You suffer from a severe mental health condition (reach out to discuss)

  • You are fasting (but highly recommended at the beginning of the fasting regime)

THINGS TO KNOW

 

  • 2 people maximum at a ceremony.
     

  • You will be with me for around 2.5-3 hours.
     

  • You will need to prepare by following a gentle diet.
     

  • You can't eat anything for 8-10 hours before arriving.
     

  • It is best not to eat for 3-4 hours after the treatment, as the medicine will still be working, but do bring a fruit in case you really need it, especially if you are travelling far.
     

  • I live in a village near Melnik, so you may want to book a stay around here and have a peaceful rest in this magnificent historical region. I can advise on this.
     

  • I speak Bulgarian and English.
